All the hands...

This arrangement represents a hundred people, maybe more.

The poppies came from Lee.  She bought the seed from someone who distributes it, and before that someone saved the seed, packaged it, marketed it, and carried it along in the mail.  The begonias came from a greenhouse in Pennsylvania.  My momma grew the astilbe, but before she had it, someone saved seed, planted and loved it until the plant made it to the greenhouse where she bought it!  The campanula came from Mary Ellen and the sweet peas were a roadside surprise in Virginia.  Robert sold me the roses, and the hidden hydrangea was grown by Foxie.  I could go on, but I think you've caught my drift.  There are a lot of people who worked to make this arrangement exist and there are even more who enjoyed it.  And I pray, with every arrangement I make, that all these people will know Jesus, the one who created each special flower and every precious fiber of the human heart.  How He loves us!  All of us.

Well, goodnight friends!  Russell the neighborhood rooster has ceased his calls, and that means it's time for rest until he harks at dawn's first glow.

Garden Wedding

Amy and I helped Meg Laughon with a big tented garden wedding in Lynchburg at the end of May.  The flowers were delivered in waves — there were so many!  We had a lot of fun :)

This last picture is my favorite.  It's amazing what teamwork can accomplish!

Thanks so much to Meg for having us!  I've learned a lot from her and we share a deep passion for flowers!  You might remember the post from last fall at Pharsalia - Meg was our teacher :)

Amy came to visit...

...and we made flowers — a lot of flowers.  This didn't leave a lot of time for sleeping, but we did eat!  Tiramisu and cacciatore, my favorite apple gorgonzola salad, sticky bread pudding and earl gray brewed by a legit Brit.  It was good, real good.  Food, flowers and a friend who loves food and flowers — who could ask for more!

These are a few pictures we shot of our "leftovers" - there's never time to take pictures until after the event is over.

I'll post a few pictures of the tented garden wedding we freelanced for earlier in that week later this week!

Thanks to all my flower friends for your support and all the smiles you bring me with your pictures!  It's so fun to be on this beautiful flower journey with you!  Scroll to the bottom and remember you make the world awesome :)
