Our flowers and Heather's film took a little trip across the pond today! We enjoyed being a part of the Wedding Sparrow blog, based in Europe. I think there is so much we can learn by opening our eyes up to what's beyond our neighborhood! Someday I'm going to get on a plane and go everywhere...Pan Am style.

Oh man, next week is going to be epic!!!!! I'm spending the first part of the week at Flower School with Sarah & Nikki upping my arranging game for next season. It's at LynnVale Farms and Wollam Gardens, two of the BEST growers on this side of the country.
Then I'm going to hand-pick the best from LynnVale & Wollam and bring it to Charlotte for a flower lesson at West Elm. I'm doing it at cost (or knowing what a flower hoarder I am, probably below cost) because I want everyone who wants to have a little get-away to get-away! $25, hello!
And I'm giving away a scholarship to one lucky reader who can identify this big pink happy flower...GO!

Adorable Elisabeth got married at Crestwood on Saturday. This was her bouquet, and as usual, it's the only picture I managed to take! I really need to start wearing clothes with pockets in them so my camera is close.
I especially loved Elisabeth's ceremony decor. Her aisle was lined with branches, and her arbor had clematis vines spilling out an over. Pretty glass globes with a single bloom framed the couple as they said their vows. It was sweet.
Melissa Riley of Day of Your Dreams ran the event with her two cute interns, and everyone had fun :) Hoping to share more footage after the professional pictures & video are processed!
And note to all my future brides -- be a smartypants like Elisabeth and hire videographers. I smile and cry happy tears every time I watch mine :)
Bouquet Recipe: Hydrangea, tuberose (smells like a mix of jasmine and honeysuckle and it is dreamy!), dusty miller, garden roses, anemone, dahlias, veronica and ranunculus.
